On April 5, 2011 the community surrounding the Upper Big Branch Mine tragedy will come together to remember those lost only one year ago. There will be a memorial service held at Whitesville Elementary with miner’s families, first responders, mine rescue teams and several government officials in attendance.
Unfortunately, due to limited seating, the general public will not be invited to attend but can watch the service online in its entirety through a live-stream broadcast on the Faces of the Mine website.
Those interested will find the specific web address and information about the broadcast on the Faces of the Mine blog as the memorial draws closer.
We hope you can join us on April 5 at 6:00 PM to remember those we lost one year ago. Any questions concerning the broadcast can be directed to info@facesofthemine.com.
